Import Guide

Learn how to export your flight data from various logbook providers and import it into Arelplane.

The Basics

To import flights, you must upload a .CSV file.

We support imports from most major digital logbooks. If your provider isn't listed, you can often export as a generic CSV.

Airport Identifiers: ICAO identifiers work best. For origin and destination, we also support IATA or FAA identifiers and will attempt to match them automatically.

Missing an airport? Message us with the details and we'll add it.

Custom Locations

For off-airport operations or unlisted locations, you can use raw coordinates in your logbook file.

Format: LAT/LONG (e.g. 40.7468831/-73.994756)

Arelplane will automatically create a new custom location or link to an existing one at those coordinates.

Spreadsheet Import

If you maintain your own Excel or Numbers logbook, simply export it as a CSV. Use our template to ensure the columns are mapped correctly.

Required Columns: Date, From, To.
Optional: AircraftID, Route, TimeOut, TimeIn, TotalTime, PIC, Distance.
